Job description

Are you someone who is keen to support students with Special Educational Needs? Here at Axcis, we have a great opportunity to work within a school in Tamworth, Staffordshire, as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant. You will support students with a range of Learning Disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH). Your role will involve working with these students on a 1:1 basis, helping them learn and develop independence.

The opportunity:

1. To become a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant
2. To support students with ASD and SEMH
3. £90 - £105 per day, depending on skills and experience
4. Term Time Only
5. Based in Tamworth, Staffordshire
6. Starting ASAP until the end of the academic year - Monday to Friday, 08:30 am - 3:30 pm
7. Full-time and part-time roles available

Key Responsibilities:

1. Working 1:1 or 2:1 with students and building positive relationships, treating them with respect and consideration
2. Attending to students' personal needs and following EHCPs, including assisting with personal care when required
3. Supporting students inside and outside the classroom to enable full participation in activities
4. Ensuring that each pupil's care plans are followed at all times
