Job summary

Clear Legal & Financial Recruitment is assisting a Reading-based firm to hire an experienced Special Educational Needs Solicitor on a hybrid basis. You will manage a SEN caseload and support the team on complex matters, liaising with families, schools, local authorities, experts and Tribunals to provide high-quality legal advice and representation.

The role requires a qualified solicitor with SEN law experience, strong drafting and advocacy skills, and the ability to work independently while

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with experience in Special Educational Needs law
• Experience handling SEN matters including SEND Tribunal appeals
• Strong drafting and advocacy preparation skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Special Educational Needs matters including SEND Tribunal appeals
• Provide initial legal guidance to prospective clients
• Advise on EHCPs, appeals and related SEN issues
• Draft Grounds of Appeal, witness statements and other legal documents
• Prepare appeal bundles and supporting evidence for Tribunal proceedings
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, schools, experts and the SEND Tribunal
• Instruct and liaise with experts and manage evidence
• Prepare schedules of documents for appeals and expert review
• Assist with marketing initiatives and events to promote the firm
• Mentor junior team members and undertake legal research
