Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a well‑resourced school in Billericay, supporting both primary and secondary pupils. This full‑time, long‑term role starts ASAP and offers ongoing consultant support and potential progression.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist with communication and emotional regulation, follow EHCP targets, and support personal care where needed, while collaborating with teachers and external specialists to maintain a calm,

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Billericay that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible.

The Role

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning
• Following EHCP targets and individual support plans
• Assisting with personal care where required

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups
• Confident supporting non‑verbal or limited communication pupils
• Willing to support personal care where needed
Strong team player with a proactive attitude
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Both experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and strong mainstream TAs looking to move into a specialist setting are encouraged to apply.
