Chepping View Primary Academy is seeking to appoint an excellent practitioner who will have excellent teamwork and communication skills, boundless patience, resilience and the ability and enthusiasm to make a difference with pupils who have a range of social, emotional and mental health needs.
Term time only: No
Salary Type: MPS
Salary details: MPS (3-6) + TLR
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time, (0.6 SENDCo & 0.4 teaching-PPA cover)

Chepping View is set in large grounds, with plenty of green spaces including a field and a meadow for outdoor learning. The academy provides children with a wide range of stimulating and innovative learning opportunities, such as using our DT room for cooking and playing sport on the Astroturf.
We aim to ensure our pupils develop enquiring minds and acquire the relevant skills, attitudes and knowledge to fully prepare them as they progress from Chepping View onto Secondary School and beyond. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered so that children can further develop other talents.

We can offer the successful candidate:
As a SENDCo, you'll be an experienced teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs. Working closely with the Principal and other colleagues, you'll develop and use your specialist knowledge and understanding to raise educational attainment by leading provision in our Academy for pupils with special educational needs. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the Academy’s and Trust’s SEND strategy and supporting class teachers and support staff in implementing and monitoring support plans.
