Job Title: Specialist Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Behaviour Support
Location: Bradford
Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday) Long-Term
Start Date: Immediate

We’re looking for a calm, committed, and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a primary pupil in Bradford who needs support managing challenging behaviour. This is a chance to be that steady, trusted adult who helps a child feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.

Responsibilities
  • Providing consistent, positive support in and out of the classroom
  • Using de-escalation strategies and a calm approach to help manage behaviour
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider staff team
  • Building trust and routine so the child can thrive in school life
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour or SEND
  • A patient, resilient nature (with a good sense of humour helps too!)
  • Confidence working as part of a team but able to take initiative 1:1
  • A commitment to making every day a fresh start for the pupil you support
