Job summary

Spear Leeds, in partnership with Bridge Community Church, is seeking a dedicated coaching-focused role to support young people into education or work. This position is fixed to full-time, Monday to Friday, with a focus on building relationships and empowering individuals.

The successful candidate will bring experience in coaching or youth-related work, a heart for young people, and strong organisational abilities to manage a busy workload.

Qualifications

• An active Christian, dedicated to representing the values and ethos of Spear and Bridge Community Church.
• Experience as a coach, or a background in youth work or teaching, and Keen to develop these skills further.
• Heart for young people and releasing their potential, regardless of challenging circumstances.
• Effective interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence and a sense of humour.
• Strong relationship-building abilities and solid communication skills.
• Good administrative and organisational skills, able to prioritise workload.

About Spear Leeds

Spear is working in partnership with Bridge Community Church to deliver the Spear Programme in Leeds!

At Bridge Community Church, their heart is to work in partnerships wherever and whenever they can. They partner with organisations including Spear, to see their goals and vision achieved. The Spear Programme is delivered in Spear Leeds which offers young people professionally recognised coaching, for free, to support them into sustainable work or education. They leave Spear equipped to thrive in work and life.

Key Information

• Salary: from £26,000
• Full-time, Permanent - Monday to Friday
• 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays and Christmas Gift Days (paid shut down between Christmas and New Year)

Person Specification
