Graham Eyes Butchers at SPAR Haworth is looking for a dedicated Meat Counter Assistant to join our team. You will receive full training, handle meat prep, service customers, and keep displays tidy.

This permanent role offers 39 hours per week, opportunities to learn butcher skills, and access to rewards and discounts as part of our community-focused store.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh meat products to high standards of quality and presentation
• Assist with cutting, trimming, and portioning meat (training provided)
• Accurately date code products in line with standards
• Carry out temperature checks to ensure food safety
• Deliver excellent customer service at the meat counter by serving and advising customers
• Keep displays well-stocked, attractive and fresh throughout the day
• Follow hygiene, cleaning and safety procedures to maintain a clean environment
• Support colleagues and work as part of a close-knit team

From day one, you will receive full training and ongoing support to help you develop your skills and confidence in the role. Your responsibilities will be varied and will include:

• Preparing fresh meat products to high standards of quality and presentation

• Carrying out temperature checks to ensure compliance and food safety
• Delivering excellent customer service at the meat counter by serving, advising, and engaging with customers

• Following strict hygiene, cleaning, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Supporting your colleagues and working as part of a close-knit team
