Job summary

James Hall & Co. Ltd. is hiring a Retail Assistant to join our SPAR store team. You will deliver friendly, helpful service, handle cash, restock shelves, and keep the store tidy to ensure a great customer experience.

This part-time, permanent role requires 12 hours per week. You’ll join a supportive team committed to community presence, savings for customers, and running the store smoothly with attention to detail and reliability.

About the Role

As a Retail Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of providing fantastic service to our customers. You’ll work with a friendly, supportive team, helping the store run smoothly while ensuring every customer has a positive experience.

You’ll play a key role in the daily running of the store, including:

• Maximising sales by delivering excellent customer service
• Controlling costs and reducing waste
• Operating the till and handling cash accurately
• Managing stock levels and replenishing as needed
• Maintaining store security in line with company procedures
