Spanish Teacher Required - Secondary School in Wandsworth A dynamic secondary school in the diverse borough of Wandsworth is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Spanish Teacher.
This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in January 2025.
The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key responsibilities of this role include: Planning and delivering engaging and interactive lessons that inspire students to develop their language skills and cultural understanding.
Creating a supportive and communicative classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence in using the Spanish language.
Employing a variety of teaching methodologies and resources, including authentic materials and technology, to enhance language acquisition and cultural awareness.
Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing differentiated learning strategies to cater to the needs of all learners.
Contributing to the development and enrichment of the Spanish curriculum and participating in departmental and whole-school initiatives.
The Successful Candidate will have: A degree in Spanish or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
A strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Spanish curriculum.
Native or near-native fluency in Spanish.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
A passion for language education and a commitment to fostering students' linguistic competence and cultural understanding.
