About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following relevant examination specifications.
  • Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported in their language acquisition.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including authentic materials, cultural immersion activities, and language technology, to enhance student learning.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys, fostering a deep understanding of Spanish language and culture.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Spanish examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria and linguistic methodologies.
  • Contribute to the development of the Spanish curriculum and resources, integrating current linguistic research and cultural trends.
  • Foster a love of Spanish language and culture in students, encouraging them to develop their communication, analytical, and intercultural skills, and to appreciate the diversity of Spanish-speaking communities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment, and to contribute to the wider language and cultural life of the school.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
