This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving Modern Foreign Languages Department in a school that values academic rigour, traditional scholarship, and global awareness.

The Role

As a Spanish Teacher, you will:

  • Teach Spanish across Key Stages 3 to 5, including GCSE and A-Level

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that support strong student outcomes

  • Promote fluency, accuracy, and cultural understanding through varied and dynamic teaching methods

  • Support students' development in spoken and written Spanish with clear and constructive feedback

  • Participate in departmental planning and contribute to curriculum development

  • Engage with extracurricular opportunities, including language clubs, trips, and exchanges

Person Specification

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a good honours degree in Spanish or a closely related subject

  • Possess a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE with QTS or equivalent)

  • Have experience teaching Spanish at KS3 KS5, ideally in an academically selective environment

  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a clear passion for language teaching

  • Be an excellent communicator with strong classroom presence and organisational skills

  • Show commitment to ongoing professional development and the wider life of the school

  • Be fluent or near-fluent in Spanish, with the ability to model authentic language use
