Position Overview:
As a Spanish Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Spanish to students from KS3 to KS5, promoting fluency in speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension. You will encourage cultural awareness, provide engaging lesson plans, and create a classroom environment where students develop a genuine interest in the Spanish language and cultures. The role also involves collaboration with colleagues, participation in professional development, and contribution to the school’s extracurricular activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Spanish language and culture through a variety of interactive and student-centered methods
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Develop engaging, creative, and meaningful lesson plans and assessments
  • Foster an inclusive, respectful, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Encourage the development of both written and oral communication skills
  • Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities
  • Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and classroom activities
  • Collaborate with fellow faculty members in developing interdisciplinary programs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or related field.
  • Certification in Teaching Spanish or related credentials (QTS).
  • Previous teaching experience in Spanish at KS3 to KS5
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students in a dynamic learning environment
  • Experience with technology integration in the classroom is a plus
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish
