Job description

ABC Teachers are looking for dedicated and passionate Spanish Teachers to join our dynamic teaching team to work within MFL departments in and around the Wolverhampton area. This is a wonderful opportunity for a dynamic educator to inspire students and cultivate a love for the Spanish language and culture. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Spanish lessons, fostering language acquisition, and contributing to the overall development of the language department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Spanish lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive and challenging Spanish curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support language development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success in learning Spanish.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the MFL department and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as language clubs or cultural events, to enrich students' learning experiences.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with language teaching methodologies and educational best practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Spanish, Modern Foreign Languages, or a related field.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching the Spanish language.
  • Experience teaching Spanish at the secondary level, including KS4 and KS5.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.

Desirable:

  • Experience in leading language-related extracurricular activities, such as exchange programs or trips abroad.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance language learning.
  • A proven track record of achieving excellent student outcomes in Spanish.
