Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Spanish Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school (or all-through school) team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring pupils to develop confidence, fluency, and a love for languages. Beginning ASAP.

Duties as Spanish Teacher
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Spanish lessons that meet the requirements of the national curriculum.
  • Teach and assess pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential).
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEND or EAL.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress, providing clear targets for improvement.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that motivates and challenges learners.
  • Contribute to extra-curricular language clubs, trips, or cultural events.
Ideal Spanish Teacher
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or recognised equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach Spanish to GCSE level (A-Level desirable).
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills as Spanish Teacher.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students of varying abilities.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
