Job summary

Luton Sixth Form College invites applications for a part-time Spanish Languages Assistant (hourly paid). The post involves planning and delivering oral lessons, preparing materials, and assisting in practical examinations to help students achieve their language goals.

You will assess student progress, write materials, and maintain a safe learning environment in accordance with college policies. DBS disclosure will be required as part of safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Up-to-date knowledge of Spanish language and culture.
• Clear understanding of safeguarding processes and procedures.
• Understanding of equality, diversity, health and safety, and safeguarding of young people.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare oral lessons as required.
• Teach students including preparing materials.
• Prepare students for practical oral examinations, assisting in topic selection.
• Assess and report on student development, progress and attainment.
• Write and/or record materials for use within the language department.
• Maintain discipline and safeguard the health and safety of students.
