Position Details

The school is seeking an enthusiastic teacher of French to join the Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department, which offers Spanish and French across all year groups. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering the French curriculum from Year 7 to 11, with accountability for student outcomes in this language.

Contract/Position Details

• Location: Wigan
• Position: MFL Teacher
• Type of work: Supply Teacher – day-to-day and long-term cover in various schools
• Duration: Day-to-day bookings, with potential for extension depending on schools
• Contract type: Temporary
• Full time/Part time: Both available depending on school needs
• Minimum rate of pay: £120 per day
• Hours: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm (full day), half day (morning or afternoon), individual lesson cover

Experience, Training, and Qualifications

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS, or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a UK school
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable but not essential)

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
