Job summary

SPACETECH INTERNATIONAL Limited in the UK (South) is seeking an interim Mechanical Design Engineer to support a growing portfolio of space and satellite projects. You will own end-to-end mechanical design and documentation for space hardware, create precise CAD models and BOMs, and contribute to design reviews and risk assessments.

Hands-on prototyping, assembly, AIT, and testing support are expected as part of a pragmatic, independent engineering approach.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of practical experience developing complex mechanical structures or mechanisms in aerospace or space hardware.
• Strong CAD skills with detailed design, assemblies and production drawings.
• Proven track record delivering mechanisms for space/aerospace industries.
• Good understanding of manufacturability, tolerances, materials, fasteners and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end mechanical design and documentation for space hardware, payloads, and MGSE.
• Produce precise CAD models, assembly drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
• Provide input during design reviews and risk assessments.
• Hands-on support for prototyping, assembly, AIT, and mechanical testing.
