Job summary

Babcock is hiring a Spacecraft Control Specialist for our Corsham, Wiltshire site. The role involves theoretical training on spacecraft sub-systems and orbital theory followed by practical simulator exercises, all delivered on site by our space trainers.

You will monitor and control MIL SAT COM systems, contribute to 24/7 operations on a 12-hour shift, and mentor new staff while maintaining currency in competencies. A sole UK national required for SC clearance with eligible background.

Qualifications

• STEM degree preferred or Level 3 equivalent in science/engineering.
• Security clearance eligibility required.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on-site.

Responsibilities

• Test MIL SAT COM systems and ground segment control.
• Deliver spacecraft operations and maneuvers on 12-hour shifts.
• Supervise and mentor new staff during spacecraft operations.
• Maintain Currency Matrix competency levels.
