Job summary

Lockheed Martin in the United Kingdom seeks a seasoned aerospace systems engineer to own the spacecraft bus performance and communicate this to our UK MoD customer.

You'll perform planning, integration, verification and validation, and translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications, guiding major projects and shaping regional space initiatives. This role involves working across concept to disposal stages, with senior stakeholders and cross‑disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with spacecraft platform (bus) and performance.
• Able to perform relevant analyses as required.
• Significant related experience; may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
• Experience of satellite design is particularly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses for total systems.
• Ensure translation of customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Develop innovative solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
• Lead major projects to completion and engage with senior personnel on significant matters.
