Job summary

AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited in Stevenage offers a year-long internship in Software Engineering. You will shadow the development team and work across applications, servers, and databases, gaining hands-on experience with modern tools and languages.

You will contribute to embedded software projects with close links to hardware, while learning within an agile environment and a multinational engineering organisation.

Qualifications

• Undergraduates only; must remain an undergraduate for the duration of the placement.
• CV and Cover Letter outlining motivation and suitability are required.
• Studying towards a degree in Software Engineering.
• Experience in software engineering, some coding.

Responsibilities

• Shadow the software development team to learn Space Software Engineering.
• Experience the complete software development cycle in an agile environment.
• Apply university theory to real-world requirements.
• Work on applications, servers and databases and contribute ideas to products.
• Contribute to embedded software development linked to hardware components.
