Job summary

Spire Global is seeking a Mathematical Software Engineer to advance scheduling and orbit maneuver planning for its nanosatellite constellation. You will build features for ground-based systems, improve observability, and support live operations with robust software practices.

Ideal candidates have strong math and modelling skills, experience in Rust or similar languages, and a background in CS or math. Hybrid work model with three days in office.

Qualifications

• Strong mathematical and modelling capabilities.
• Ability to build robust software applications with good practices.
• Experience with version control, testing, debugging and builds.

Responsibilities

• Develop new scheduling capabilities for orbital maneuver planning.
• Iterate on features based on stakeholder feedback and requirements.
• Build and refine observability dashboards and alerts.
• Support live operations of constellation scheduling software.
• Improve development environment and processes.
• Investigate and mitigate production issues.
