Starting your Journey:

As a Spa Supervisor you will ensure a complete guest focus within the treatment area of Yu Spa, maintaining the Apex standards in all areas giving the guest the best possible experience. Assist the Yu Spa Manager to provide exceptional guest service through the delivery of health and beauty treatments. Responsible for coaching, developing and supporting beauty staff to provide the highest level of customer care and consistent service delivery.

Joining the dedicated Spa department, you will:

  • to coach, develop and motivate all team members to be the very best the can, ensuring all deliver the Warmer Welcome of Apex with our key family values of Trust, Friendliness, team Work and Passion
  • To deliver exceptional Guest service at all times, in all areas of the department
  • To monitor and maintain clear standards in service delivery, cleanliness, guest interaction, set up of areas.
  • Assist in delivering ongoing training to the spa therapist team, working in concert with the Spa & Leisure manager to devise ongoing training that will keep the treatment side at the forefront of the beauty industry
  • Contribute to a strong team environment which promotes good employee morale and ensures a high level of commitment and pride in the department and hotel, whilst promoting a professional, helpful image to all internal and external guests personally
  • Comply with statutory and legal requirements for Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety, and Employment laws.
  • Assist the Spa Manager in maximising revenue generation in the Spa through targeted upselling across the whole team, take a lead on incentive schemes for therapist, motivating team members to hit targets
  • Assist Spa Manager with inventory control and operational cost in the treatment area
  • Create a daily culture of cleanliness, ensuring all areas of responsibility are maintained and regularly checked and are as clean as possible
  • Ensure that all equipment and fittings within the treatment areas are maintained to a high level, through effectively reporting issues and ensuring these are resolved in a timely manner

As a Spa Supervisor, you will have excellent attention to detail in order to provide consistent standards. This is a vital role in the function of the hotel and ultimately the service provided to our guests before, during and after their stay. You will love chatting to our guests offering help and assistance, you will be a great at multi-tasker, you will be efficient at solving guest enquiries and you will always have a smile for our teams and guests. We want you to be yourself here, bringing your infectious personality which helps makes Apex who we are.

On your first day you will begin a structured 12 week learning journey, giving you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be a great Spa Supervisor. With this in mind, we are looking for a Spa Supervisor who:

  • HNC or HND qualified or have equivalent beauty qualifications.
  • Experience working in a Spa or wellness setting is essential
  • Uses initiative
  • Is self-aware and able to evaluate their own work
  • Has a customer service attitude
  • Holds a genuine desire to provide a Warmer Welcome to our guests
