Job summary

Anglian Water Services is seeking a Project Manager for the Strategic Pipeline Alliance, based north Norfolk. You will deliver projects safely, on time, to budget and to quality, leading a team across enabling and delivery phases.

Responsibilities include translating strategy into outcomes, optimising resources, and ensuring H&S standards. The role reports to a leadership group within SPA

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/MEICA/Construction Management or relevant subject.
• Experience leading and delivering large-scale projects of work, including water infrastructure or large-scale linear projects.
• Experience leading multi-contractor, multi-disciplined teams, unifying them into an industry leading delivery team.
• Experience of delivering design and build, large construction projects.
• Ability to perform against a tight budget through effective programme development, risk and opportunity management.

Responsibilities

• Translate Programme level strategy into actual outcomes; brief team on requirements.
• Ensure resources are fully utilised; manage performance against metrics.
• Deliver Enabling phase and delivery phase; keep projects on track for cost, time and quality.
• Manage full project lifecycle from enabling to handover, including warranties.
• Drive a culture of Health & Safety and continuous improvement.

Join Anglian Water’s Strategic Pipeline Alliance as a Project Manager, based at north Norfolk.

Location: Site-based from SPA office, north Norfolk
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about contributing to one of the UK’s most ambitious water infrastructure projects? The Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) is searching for a Project Manager to support and enhance our project delivery team.

What will you be doing as our new Project Manager?

The role of Project Manager is a true Alliance role – with a sole focus on the delivery of projects and programmes. You will manage a team who will be responsible for the project to be delivered safely, on-time, to budget and in-line with quality, environmental, customer requirements and complies with Governance and processes.

You will oversee an element of the multi-million pound SPA project and will be responsible for the project throughout its full life cycle, utilising the team to manage conflicting needs and demands, ensuring they are deployed and fully utilised making the most of their strengths and skills.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for translating Programme level strategy into actual outcomes and Team members are informed of requirements for project.

• Ensure the project team resources are fully utilised, and their performance and output is in line with company performance metrics, dealing with performance issues where they may arise.

• Responsible for the delivery of Enabling phase of the project and elements in delivery phase of project ensuring that these projects are kept ‘on track’ by own team to agreed cost, time and quality parameters and any arising issues mitigated appropriately.

• Responsible for full project lifecycle from Enabling, construction, project handover, formal sign off and managing any warranty issue that arise post-handover.

• Drive a culture of continuous improvement in Health & Safety (H&S), ensuring consistent H&S standards are maintained.
