Job summary

Senior Spa Manager role at a prestigious luxury hotel and spa near Ipswich. You will lead a professional spa team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while driving commercial success in a premium hospitality environment.

Reporting directly to the Hotel General Manager, you will oversee financial performance, day-to-day operations and development of the spa, inspiring your team and elevating the wellness experience for every guest.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Beauty Therapy.
• Minimum of two years' experience in a senior spa management position.
• Experience within a luxury spa, hotel or wellness environment.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to manage budgets and profitability.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Hands-on management style with a passion for guest experiences.
• Flexibility to work a rota Monday to Sunday.

Salary: £38,000 per annum

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious luxury hotel and spa near Ipswich for an experienced and passionate Senior Spa Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a professional spa team within a premium hospitality environment, delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving commercial success.

The successful candidate will combine strong leadership skills with a hands‑on approach, ensuring the highest standards of service, treatment delivery, and operational excellence.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Hotel General Manager, you will take full responsibility for the financial performance, day‑to‑day operations, and ongoing development of the spa. You will inspire and support your team while creating an outstanding wellness experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the spa team to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Oversee the daily operation of the spa, ensuring the highest standards are consistently maintained.
• Provide treatments when required to maximise therapist utilisation and treatment room capacity.
• Manage staff rotas and appointment schedules to optimise occupancy and revenue.
• Drive retail sales and identify opportunities to increase spa income.
• Work closely with the Hotel General Manager to develop marketing initiatives, promotions and seasonal spa packages.
• Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the customer experience.
• Stay informed of industry and wellness trends to ensure the spa remains competitive and innovative.
• Prepare monthly management reports, including financial performance, occupancy, guest satisfaction and revenue growth.

About You

We are looking for an experienced spa professional who is passionate about luxury hospitality and developing high-performing teams.

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Beauty Therapy.
• Minimum of two years' experience in a senior spa management position.
• Previous experience within a luxury spa, hotel or wellness environment.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and drive profitability.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• A hands‑on management style with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• Flexibility to work Monday to Sunday on a rota basis.
