Job Description:

Fairmont St Andrews has an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced pool specialist, knowledgeable about pool systems, seeking to advance their career within a Hospitality environment.

The Spa Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing minor pool plant equipment and providing general maintenance of the pool plant facility. This role involves collaboration between the Spa and the Engineering Department.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of spa pools and facilities, including water treatment tasks when not in the spa.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the pool plant to ensure all systems are operational.
  • Coordinate with Spa Leisure and Engineering teams for water testing and treatment in line with safety standards.
  • Act as a point of contact for the Spa Manager, Director of Facilities, and external engineers to maintain safety standards.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance according to safety protocols and scheduled servicing.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance and testing activities.
  • Manage inventory of chemicals, PPE, and cleaning supplies following safety guidelines.
  • Service amenities like sauna, steam room, and showers, reporting faults promptly.
  • Support emergency response, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for spa facilities.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of maintenance experience, preferably in health clubs, spas, or hospitality.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and good communication skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
