Job summary

Old Swan & Minster Mill invites you to join a welcoming team in Minster Lovell. You’ll start with an apprenticeship in spa therapy, learn reception duties and guest hosting, and progress to performing treatments as you’re trained.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a Level 2 or Level 3 apprenticeship qualification for spa therapy and treatments.
• Work on the spa reception, taking bookings, hosting and greeting guests as required.
• After training, perform select spa treatments.
• Carry out client consultations prior to treatments.
• Prescribe spa retail products using the company form.
• Maintain treatment rooms, relaxation areas and lounge to high standards.
• Manage stock: towels, guest supplies and cleaning chemicals.

Location

Located just 15 miles from Oxford, Old Swan & Minster Mill is in the picturesque village of Minster Lovell.
Consisting of both a quintessentially country English Inn, and a modern riverside hotel,
SERVICE CHARGE-We pay our team service charge each month! This service charge all goes into one pot, and 100% of that service charge is then shared amongst all the team at the hotel-every penny received is paid out to the team.
Service charge can be in the region of £150 a month (close to £2000 per year) over and above base pay for a full time employee.
The Old Swan & Minster Mill offers a relaxed, fun yet professional environment to work in. Free parking is available on site, and we do offer discounted staff taxis for those that don't drive!

Role

What you will be doing:

• Undertaking a Level 2 or Level 3 relevant apprenticeship qualification for spa therapy and treatments.
• Working on the spa reception, taking bookings, hosting and greeting guests as and when required.
• Once you have been trained and assessed, perform select treatments on our guests.
• Carry out a full client consultation prior to performing any spa treatment.
• Use the company home prescription form to prescribe retail products to all clients during and following spa treatments.
• Look after our treatment rooms, relaxation areas and lounge so they are kept to a high standard.
• To be responsible for the control of all stocks; towels, guest supplies and cleaning chemicals and ensure they are kept to adequate levels when asked to do so.

Requirements

• Be a people person, who loves hospitality.
• Fulfil the necessary criteria for an apprenticeships, as set out by the apprenticeship provider.
• Be flexible work different shifts. We are open to flexible hours and days of work for the right candidate (although some weekend work at times may be needed- as this is when a lot of people would love to come and get a treatment from us).
