A prominent health service provider in Aberdeen is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join their rotational team. This role involves gaining experience across various disciplines including oncology and surgery while participating in an on-call rota. The candidate must be a registered pharmacist and capable of working across multiple sites. Comprehensive training will be provided in a supportive environment.
We are looking for an ambitious and motivated pharmacist to join our current team of Band 6 rotational pharmacists. You will be based within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and rotations may involve the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, The Aberdeen Maternity Hospital and Woodend Hospital (all in Aberdeen city).
It is a very exciting period for NHS Grampian as we have two major developments the ANCHOR Centre (Cancer) and the Baird Family Hospital (which will replace the current maternity hospital), are currently in construction and both due to open 2026/27. In addition, we have a new NHS Grampian Strategy which focuses on creating sustainable health and care over the next 10 years. We have a vision to provide a balance between responding to illness and helping people to stay well (see the plan for the future). You will participate in our established rotation laying a foundation of knowledge and experience in a range of pharmacy disciplines, including medicine, oncology, surgery, paediatrics, aseptic dispensing, medicines information, dispensary, radiopharmacy and quality assurance. Training and support will be provided and centred around the post registration foundation framework.
This role includes a commitment to joining our on call rota. Training for on call duties will commence after an initial settling in period.
