NHS Grampian is seeking a motivated and experienced Clinical Procurement Specialist for a permanent role. The successful candidate will assist in optimizing the use of medical and surgical supplies while maintaining quality standards.
The role involves providing clinical support and advice to multidisciplinary healthcare professionals regarding the selection, evaluation, procurement, and use of clinical equipment. The post holder will lead efforts to develop and maintain relationships between clinical service users and the Procurement Service, focusing on the acquisition and management of medical and surgical products, including stock and non-stock purchases to meet financial targets.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, teamwork skills, and the ability to propose ideas that improve service delivery to staff and patients. They should possess a relevant degree and/or be a Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional, leveraging their medical and surgical knowledge to influence change. Experience working within health, social care, or related public sectors, along with problem-solving skills, is essential.
