Job description
Senior Pharmacy Technician - Ward Services
Responsibilities
  • Work as part of the ward technician team in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary to provide support at a higher level to the clinical pharmacists as part of the pharmacy service within NHS Grampian.
  • Involve medicines reconciliation, assessing and checking patients’ own supply, ordering and dealing with any queries of supply, and assisting in the organisation of prescriptions and supply for discharge.
  • Work closely with the pharmacist and train and supervise less experienced technicians.
Qualifications
  • Applications are invited from registered technicians with suitable relevant experience.
  • A dispensary checking technician qualification is required and, if not already held, must be undertaken.
