Summary of the role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Mitsubishi Chemical, you will be responsible for leading global projects, providing specialist guidance, and supporting UK projects to meet targets, project procedures, and engineering/SHE standards. You will be a key member of a goal-oriented team, collaborating with Asset Integrity panels and auditing teams.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Be the subject matter expert for electrical engineering on strategic projects in the UK and overseas.
• Take responsibilities during front-end loading (FEL) and EPC phases of projects.
• Provide electrical engineering support to global manufacturing sites, guiding and coaching developing engineers.
• Recommend best practices for electrical maintenance and act as a technical authority.
• Ensure compliance with SHE standards in strategic projects and lead the appraisal of design contractors.
• Lead or participate in Asset Integrity Procedure (AIP) and project audits.
• Network with external and internal experts and participate in peer review activities.

What we are looking for

• Knowledge of Process Industry Practices (PIPs) and US PE requirements is advantageous.
• Experience with design, specification, inspection, and testing of HV electrical systems for industrial facilities.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (BEng/BSc), MEng/MSc preferred.
• Extensive post-graduation experience in Chemical, Petrochemical, or Oil and Gas industries.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
• Experience with industrial power generation (e.g., CHP plants).
• Proficiency with software such as SPEL, ETAP, SKM Power Tools, AMTECH, Navisworks, AutoCAD.
