A leading recruitment group is looking for a Procurement Officer for London Borough of Southwark to support a major ERP system procurement. The role involves drafting reports, stakeholder management, and contributing towards procurement strategy. Ideal candidates will have a qualification in procurement and experience in public sector regulations.
London Borough of Southwark is undergoing various procurements to replace their ERP system, including system implementor, business change, data migration, reporting, support and archiving. This is a technology and people change transformation and is likely to be the biggest procurement the council is to undertake within the next 15 years. To ensure the successful selection, we are seeking a Procurement Officer.
Job Overview:
The Procurement Officer will undertake the following tasks through the procurement process for our new ERP system: support Procurement Workstream Lead in drafting and documentation of a contract management approach, requirement gathering and documentation for procurements not yet commenced and contribute to development of programme board and Gateway reports.

Qualifications:
- Qualification in procurement or working towards a qualification in procurement, or related field, e.g. CIPS.
- Proven experience in public sector procurement, particularly in the UK, with an understanding of procurement regulations and best practices.
- Project management skills and experience required.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually using their own initiative to achieve task deadlines.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
