Manpower (United Kingdom) is seeking reliable Van Drivers for a temporary ongoing role in Southampton (SO18 2XX). The job involves 3.5t van deliveries to mail centres, local businesses and customers with various shifts including late and night hours.

Ideal candidates hold a UK Cat B licence, have up to 6 points, and at least 1 year of van driving experience in logistics. Full PPE and workwear are provided, plus a competitive hourly rate and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Cat B driving licence.
• 1 year van driving experience in logistics or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate 3.5t vehicles on planned routes between mail centres, local businesses and customers.
• Deliver mail and parcels efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects per procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and secure goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining communication with the operations team.
• Follow road transport laws, health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Handle multiple drops per shift depending on route.
