Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking an SME Relationship Director for South Wales. You will manage a defined portfolio of SME clients (turnover £10m-£50m) and drive sustainable income growth, balance sheet expansion and market share, while delivering tailored banking solutions across lending, deposits and payments.

The role requires building trusted client relationships, expanding the client base and working in a collaborative bank environment with internal product specialists.

Qualifications

• Track record of winning new business within corporate or commercial banking.
• Broad established network within the South Wales Commercial market.
• Strong communication skills with experience in building relationships with clients and external partners.
• Understanding of legal documentation and ability to negotiate commercial terms.
• Credit experience with ability to evaluate propositions and make recommendations.
• Understanding of risk in lending and how to minimise it.

Responsibilities

• Manage a defined portfolio of SME clients (turnover £10m-£50m) and grow sustainable income and market share.
• Identify and win new-to-bank opportunities through market engagement and networking.
• Deliver tailored solutions across lending, deposits, payments and day‑to‑day banking services.
• Collaborate with internal product specialists and coverage teams to provide end‑to‑end service.
