Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK & I, is the leading provider of catering and support services to Independent Schools in the UK. You will be part of a team that supports high quality education at this school by providing outstanding food and service to the pupils and staff.

It all starts with enjoyment-great tasting, healthy food that pupils look forward to and really enjoy. As our Sous Chef you will prepare delicious, high-quality food, oversee menu changes and listen to customer feedback

Qualifications

• Experience in a Chef role with responsibilities similar to the position.
• Hold a Food Hygiene certificate.
• Experience supervising a team in a kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Listening and acting on customer feedback to improve services.
• Supporting the creation of new menus and concepts.
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers

• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image

• Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Satefty regulations

Our ideal Sous Chef will:

• Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
• Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
• Have experience supervising a team
• Have experience in a similar Chef role
• Hold a Food Hygiene certificate
• Have a flexible approach to working
