We’re excited to bring The Ivy Collection to Northcote Road, a vibrant neighborhood in South West London. This new opening offers a unique opportunity to be part of something special from day one—helping to shape a new team and deliver the signature Ivy experience in a fresh setting.

Job Description:

The Sous Chef will work alongside line chefs to ensure dishes meet high standards. The role is leadership-oriented but still hands-on, ideal for someone who loves cooking and wants to develop leadership skills.

With a large kitchen team, you can focus on food quality and training when on section, and on leading the team during service.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure correct prep levels with the prep team.
  • Manage deliveries and stock with the Goods Receiver.
  • Check cleaning rotas are completed.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff for consistency and excellence.
  • Assist in performance management of kitchen staff.
  • Support the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef in maintaining a positive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Sous Chef in a busy kitchen.
  • Strong culinary skills and creativity.
  • Leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing a large kitchen team.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety, and culinary techniques.
  • Understanding of GP and stock control.
  • Ability to organize and oversee multiple checks simultaneously.
