We are currently looking for Commis Chef to join our team at STK - ME London.

STK London, located at the iconic ME London Hotel on The Strand, offers an upscale dining experience blending high-quality cuisine with a lively, vibrant atmosphere. Known for our modern steakhouse concept, we pride ourselves on exceptional service, premium dishes, and a stylish setting. We’re seeking a dedicated Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team and help deliver unforgettable guest experiences.

Mission: Together with the Head Chef, responsible for the implementation of centralized kitchen procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards, adapting operations to the hotel team, maintaining product and service quality levels and complying with HACCP requirements (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and company sustainability commitments.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. In the absence of the Executive Head Chef, represent the KITCHEN department.
2. Monitor service, Food & Beverage quality and presentation standards in all outlets. Work with the Outlet Managers to achieve the requirements as outlined by the clients and hotel standards.
3. Assist executive chef to establish and implement performance standards for the entire Kitchen team.
4. Be periodically, as dictated by rota, available in the loading bay to receive goods and inspect quality, quantity and that what was ordered was delivered.
5. Continuously seek ways to assist the Outlet management maximize their revenues and profits through Food and Beverage products.
6. Monitor and analyze the activities and trends of competitive restaurants, bars and other hotel’s banqueting departments.
7. Responsible for costing of all menus in all departments, to ensure items sold are correct to achieve budgeted food cost.
8. Assist in the training of employees, making sure that they have the skills necessary to perform their roles.
9. Ensure the reduction of food waste.

What we are looking for:

• Fluent in English.
• Knowledge of food handling, hygiene and food safety.
• Knowledge in the use of management tools.
• Proactivity for excellence and high capacity in planning and organisation.

The successful candidate must already have eligibility to work in the UK.
