Sous Chef – Modern British Restaurant – London’s West End – Up to £36k + Bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a capable and confident Sous Chef to work in one of London’s popular and very busy Modern British brasserie style restaurants. This operation is serving high volume covers to Rosette standards. The ideal candidate will be looking for a challenging role in a high-pressured kitchen producing quality dishes. Your role will include:

  1. Assisting the Head Chef with all aspects of running a busy kitchen
  2. Achieving targets in gross profit, food hygiene, and health and safety
  3. Ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen with an emphasis on quality and efficiency
Skills / Attributes
  • Previous Sous Chef experience at high volume covers per day
  • Exceptional management skills, able to lead and motivate people under pressure
  • Experience in high-pressure environments
  • Good communicator
  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • Able to oversee and run restaurants or large banqueting events
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • High level of attention to detail

Qualifications:

  • Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate or Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
  • NVQ 2 and 3 or equivalent
  • Food Allergens Certificate
