Location: High security clearance location, London

Salary: up to £42,000 per annum

40 hours per week - Monday to Thursday

As a Sous Chef, you will collaborate with our culinary team to craft flavorful dishes that nourish both body and mind. You should have excellent presentation, organizational and communication skills, a passion for food & service, and enthusiasm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of food preparation, production, and service.
  • Ensure the quality and presentation of all dishes meet standards and expectations.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Assist in menu planning considering dietary restrictions, nutritional guidelines, and seasonal ingredients.
  • Oversee stock control and ordering to maintain inventory and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with the catering team for special events and culinary initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment following health and safety regulations.
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and record keeping.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and ingredients to enhance offerings.
  • Foster a positive working environment through leadership, communication, and teamwork.

Preferred experience includes working in a similar role within contract catering or educational institutions, a culinary degree or relevant certifications, strong knowledge of food safety, multitasking in high-volume kitchens, excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and a fun, enthusiastic attitude.
