We’re a multi award-winning contract catering company, serving over 45,500 satisfied customers daily. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team on a maternity cover for one year.

In this role, you will produce and develop high-standard food within set time and financial targets, stepping into the Head Chef’s shoes when needed. You’ll bring your own ideas and initiatives to enhance standards.

As an enthusiastic food lover, you’ll research innovative ideas and contribute across all food production areas, from menu planning and food trend analysis to customer satisfaction. An effective communicator and team player, you’ll promote team spirit and company culture, adapting your work pace as required. With a strong customer focus, you’ll gather feedback to measure success and commit to continuous learning through workshops and forums. Your kitchen management skills may be basic now, but you are eager to improve and grow.

Requirements include relevant experience and education to C & G 706 1 & 2, NVQ or equivalent. You should hold Food Safety and Health & Safety certificates at Level 2, and have a working knowledge of COSHH & HACCP. Ideally, you will have 2+ years’ experience in a similar-sized operation and some supervisory experience.
