Job summary

The Evolve Group UK is recruiting a Sous Chef for a luxury care and nursing home in Reigate. Working with the Head Chef, you will be second in command, overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring high standards of meals and service.

This full‑time role offers day shifts, competitive hourly pay of £17–£19, and benefits including free meals, pension, life cover, and staff recognition. Alternate weekends and routine training support career development.

Qualifications

• 5 years' professional kitchen experience
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Food Hygiene, Catering or a similar qualification
• Previous supervisory or Sous Chef experience
• Knowledge of COSHH and food safety procedures
• The ability to remain calm and organised in a busy kitchen
• A positive, professional and proactive approach

Responsibilities

• Preparing and producing high-quality, nutritious meals to a restaurant standard
• Supporting the Head Chef with menu development and seasonal changes
• Supervising and developing junior members of the kitchen team
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
• Helping to manage the kitchen during busy service periods
• Ensuring consistently high standards of food presentation and quality
