Chef - Contract Catering Site - £15.28p/h - Liss - 4 Day working week
Are you looking for a new challenge within a leading contract catering company?
Do you want to work just 4 days per week and have 3 days off during the week, this could be the role for you.
This is a dual site role, working 1 day in Winchester and 3 days in Liss so we are looking for a chef that can work in both locations
You work on Monday in Winchester and on Fri, Sat, Sun at Liss, 40 hours per week so 4x10 hour days. This role would suit someone looking to have 3 days off in the week which are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday!!
We're looking for a skilled chefs to join a great team working for a well-known contract catering company, this site caters for around 100+ covers, so it is bulk catering and a busy unit.
Key info:
Location: Winchester - Monday, Liss Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Salary: £15.28 per hour
Shifts: 4/7, 40 HOURS plus paid overtime
Required skills include:
* A strong understanding of produce and ingredients
* Great organisational and interpersonal skills
* An ability to work unsupervised and consistently deliver quality work, and to monitor your own performance and that of your colleagues/team
* Experience of a variety of kitchen environments and cuisines
* A good working knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) at all levels
* Knowledge of food production methods
* embrace new ideas and processes
* Positive and approachable manner
Duties will include:
* To take some responsibility for all elements of the kitchen including preparation, cooking and presentation of food to agreed standards.
* To supervise catering staff.
* To set and maintain standards.
* To ensure the kitchen is kept in a clean tidy and hygienic state.
* To liaise with customers, to ensure their needs are being met from sales through to delivery.
* To liaise with customers, to ensure all dietary requirements are catered for.
* To receive training that is necessary to maintain and improve the standards of the establishment.
* Anything else reasonably requested by the management of the organisation
To be successful, you'll need to have:
* Previous experience as a Chef
* Food Hygiene certificate and Food allergen training
* Knowledge of health and safety issues (COSHH etc) - further training can be given
* A real passion for hospitality and delivering great service
* Able to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
* Team player and able to work in busy environments
