Compass Group UK&I is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join the RAF Bassingbourn catering operation. You will support the Head Chef, lead the kitchen team and deliver high-quality meals to Service Personnel in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef or senior chef de partie in a professional kitchen.
• Strong commitment to quality food and service.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Experience in high-volume or contract catering is advantageous.
• Knowledge of food safety and allergen management.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day kitchen operation alongside the Head Chef.
• Prepare and deliver fresh, nutritious, high-quality meals.
• Supervise, motivate and develop the kitchen team.
• Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, presentation and service.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and food cost control.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, allergen management and health & safety standards.
