Job summary

EGO Cannock, part of Mitchells & Butlers plc, is seeking a Sous Chef to lead a section, train a strong team and deliver high-quality meals in line with our branded menu. You will help the team operate cohesively and step up in the Head Chef’s absence when required.

You will work closely with the Head Chef on food ordering, preparation and stock control while maintaining health and hygiene standards and driving guest satisfaction across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience as a sous chef or senior kitchen role.
• Ability to train and lead a team to deliver branded menus.
• Experience with stock control and food ordering.

Responsibilities

• Lead a kitchen section and ensure the team works as a cohesive unit.
• Train and motivate staff to deliver high-quality food.
• Support Head Chef with food ordering, prep and stock management.
• Oversee compliance with health and hygiene regulations.
