Job summary

Crystal Care Collection Limited is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef for Landers Court, a care home currently under construction and due to open in January 2027. You will join the kitchen team to prepare and cook meals to high standards, accommodating dietary requirements and ensuring a safe, clean kitchen environment.

Hours are 08:00–18:00 on a rolling three-on/three-off rota, averaging 35 hours per week. Rate of pay is £17.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing meals for care home residents.
• Food hygiene qualification preferred.
• Ability to deliver nutritious meals to residents with dietary needs.

The Role:

Working as part of the kitchen team as a Sous Chef you will help prepare and cook all food and meals to the highest standard within the care home. Assisting with the preparation of delicious and nutritious meals for our residents based around specific dietary requirements, choices and desires whilst maintaining a safe and clean environment. The catering team plays a key part in our home and you will become part of the care home family.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the food they cook and takes pride in what is served to our residents on a day-to-day basis. Previous experience would be an advantage, as would a food hygiene qualification.

Hours of work:

Your hours of work will be 08.00 - 18.00 and you will be expected to work on a permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on, followed by three consecutive shifts off. This will equate to an average working week of 35 hours in total.

Rate of pay: £17.75 per hour
