Job summary

COREcruitment Ltd is partnering with an established premium restaurant group to recruit a hands-on Sous Chef for its high-volume Pan Asian kitchen in East London. You will help run busy services up to 600 covers a day, support the Head Chef and develop the team, with an immediate start available.

The role emphasizes delivering dishes to exact specs, training staff on food safety and kitchen standards, and assisting with ordering, stock control and rotas.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef in a premium, high-volume restaurant.
• Pan Asian, Japanese or SE Asian kitchen experience preferred.
• Wok or live-fire experience advantageous.
• Organised, calm under pressure and confident leading busy services.
• Hands-on trainer who develops junior chefs.
• Available to start within two weeks.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of a high-volume kitchen.
• Run services of up to 600 covers a day, across à la carte and private dining.
• Deliver every dish to group specs, with consistent standards on every service.
• Manage and supervise junior chefs across all sections.
• Train the team on dishes, specs, food safety and kitchen standards.
• Support with ordering, stock control, rotas and food safety records.
• Help the kitchen hit its monthly performance targets.
