Legal Sea Foods is always accepting applications for qualified Sous Chef candidates for management at all locations.

This position manages and directs the work of back of house (BOH) associates, including hiring, scheduling, assigning work, training, coaching, counseling, disciplining, conducting meetings, and performance reviews. The Sous Chef resolves employee complaints, manages inventory, variances, and ordering for the BOH Department.

In the absence of the Chef, the Sous Chef manages all BOH departments. The role involves exercising discretion and judgment in enforcing policies, conducting major operational assignments, and representing the company in grievances. The Sous Chef also helps control food and labor costs, ensures adherence to safety and sanitation policies, and addresses guest satisfaction issues promptly.

The role requires effective use of business systems such as POS, HRIS, and inventory management tools.
