An established Village Inn is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to uphold its reputation for high-quality, fresh food. In this exciting role, you will lead a team of five chefs, influencing seasonally changing menus that showcase Modern British dishes. The owners of this well established Village Inn are seeking a Sous Chef to ensure that current high standards and reputation of this inn with rooms are retained. The kitchen of the property has a team of five chefs whom you will assist in leading to ensure punctual, quality service. The food is made with fresh ingredients, locally sourced as much as possible, and the seasonally changing menus, which as Sous Chef you will have a strong influence on, offer Modern British dishes. Specials are also offered daily, providing you with an opportunity to develop your own dishes in agreement with the Chef Patron. Alongside menu planning and staff training, you will also assist in ordering and completing kitchen paperwork.
Requirements:
A Sous Chef who can show longevity working in a similar fresh food pub environment where you were cooking all dishes from scratch using high quality, fresh ingredients. The role requires a strong leader with a mature approach to training in the kitchen to get the best out of your team. All chefs should be aware of current hygiene legislation, with experience in training others in this area and ensuring it is followed at all times.
