Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers plc is recruiting a Sous Chef for Pesto Dibbinsdale Inn in Wirral. You will lead a kitchen section, train team members and step up in the Head Chef’s absence, ensuring consistency and high-quality service for guests.

You’ll manage food ordering, stock and preparation, work with a branded menu, and drive team performance while maintaining health and hygiene standards. The role offers flexible shifts and opportunities for progression.

• Experience leading a kitchen team and managing chefs.
• Ability to train and inspire staff to deliver quality food.
• Comfort in working under a branded menu and maintaining standards.

• Be driven to smash targets with your team.

• Support your Head Chef with food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Have mastered the art of working with a branded menu.
• Have confidence in managing Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Oversee that your team conforms to health and hygiene regulations.
