A private members club, outdoor event space, wedding venue and fine dining experience, in a recently refurbished townhouse venue in the heart of Bristol.

The restaurant, serves modern British cuisine in a contemporary and creative setting. Celebrating fine dining and seasonal ingredients, with renowned local Head Chef and the team champion Bristol’s best produce whilst showcasing innovative techniques.

The Challenge:

We are looking for someone who will enjoy the challenge of strengthening the offering around our values and elevate the restaurant to a destination venue through accolades, in its premium setting, nestled along side a townhouse hotel.

Scope of Role:

Looking for an unforgettable dinner party experience? Private dining at this venue, set in a beautifully restored Georgian townhouse, offers award-winning menus showcasing the best seasonal flavours.

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or hosting a larger gathering, our venue provides exclusive hire, bespoke options, and a boutique lounge for drinks and canapés, ensuring your event is nothing short of extraordinary, an art space thats like no other to include in this wow space too.

A team of 11, in a private members setting (and open to the general public area too) this is a gorgeous setting in Berkley Square, Bristol.

Number of hours per week: 45 hours per week (rota based to include evenings and weekends).

Average number of covers per day: On a typical day a la carte, it'd be around 20-60 per day. On Fridays and Saturdays, or at times when they have an event or private party on they can have group dining up to 65 people, and BBQs / buffets, up to 120 people, this venue really has something for everyone on offer.

Knows what it takes to get accolades having worked in fine dining and event space previously, and better still a track record of having elevated a kitchen to that level.

Passion for kitchen garden, foraging, and local sourcing, ideally with some previous experience of doing so in the SW of England.

A proven track record of being a team member that knows how to effectively leverage the team and wider with good motivational skills. Able to balance the stress of service with the right balance of carrot and not just stick.

Can demonstrate a keen interest in effective communication to restaurant by FOH and can collaborate with the restaurant manager to achieve the best results

Requirements

Ability to commute/relocate:

Bristol BS8: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Min 5 years of culinary experience, min 1 years as Sous Chef

Casual & Fine Dining, volume experience

Passion for teamwork, commitment and growth,

Licence/Certification:

Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (required)

H&S level 2 (required)

Allergen awareness training (required)

Work authorisation:

United Kingdom (required)
