Excellent Opportunity with luxury Hotel & Restaurant in Uppingham area

Sous Chef. A fantastic opportunity has arisen at our client based in the Uppingham area for a Sous Chef to work in their busy Hotel Restaurant and Bar. As part of a dedicated brigade, you will assist the recently appointed Head Chef in serving fresh food for the guests in the fine dining restaurant, bar, and functions/celebrations. The Head Chef is looking for a strong no. 2 who can lead the brigade in his absence.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: £34-36k
  • Uniform, Meals
  • 45-hour week
  • 28 days holiday

The Role

  • Reporting to the Head Chef, you will be assisted by junior chefs.
  • Working in the hotel kitchen using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
  • Preparing and plating meals for lunch and dinner service and weddings/celebrations.

The Person

  • You will already be a Sous Chef or a strong Junior Sous wanting to move up.
  • Able to work unsupervised and develop junior team members.
  • Have experience of working in busy AA rosette standard kitchens.
  • Positive personality and proactive work skills.
